The Battle for Green Peas Cup (based on true events)

In the tough world of farm hockey no one could survive against the reign of Green Peas Cup Champions, a team of Raging Bulls called the Buffalo Wings. Every other team who tried to stand up to the intimidating “Barn Bullies” had lost badly and was sent to assisted living facility, lousy Pets stores.

However, a little chicken with big dreams named Crazy Rooster was inspired by his love of hockey and was driven by his burning desire to become a Green Peas Cup Champion. To become the Green Peas Cup Champion, Crazy Rooster challenged the Buffalo Wings to compete in a winner takes all battle that would decide the fate of his dream. Along with his best buddies, Crazy Rooster is willing to risk losing the privileges of being a Free Ranging Organic Chicken for the love of the game.

The fierce battle unleashes an amazing sequence of on ice actions and dazzling displays of never before seen hockey skills. There is an electric atmosphere in a brand new Barn, named “MB Place” in honour of the Hockey Legend Jack “The Magic Bean” who, according to a very reliable sources, planted Magic Bean in the centre of the ice.

Joining Crazy Rooster in the Ice Rage is a hilarious cast of characters including a heroic team of Free Rangers, a “well done” team of Buffalo Wings, a couple of retired animal rights activists/medical staff – Grey Wolf and Red Fox, a team of veteran officials lead by Blind Moles and an exited crowd of wild hard “corned” fans.

Hi Serguei,

Thanks mate! And, yes, this is what I'm on my own as the property owner and a story artist. There are two of us actually. A friend of mine - Andrei - he's a business man here, very into hockey and also a very creative guy.
You know, one day I thought to myself - why there's no any cartoon about hockey in Canada? Something snappy fast and funny?.. There's at list one in Russia, you do remember , right?
So I ended up pitching this idea to Andrey's head. And he told me: Why don't you draw something? And here we go :) We've put together all our ideas, I did a bunch of concept drawings and Andrey did finish the script. He came up with a few really funny things, like our referees - they are blind moles. Isn't it cool, eh? :o)
Now we have it copyrighted in Canada and the US, looking for financing. Andrey knows a few big shots in the hockey industry, it'll help I hope.
So we'd like to make the book by Christmas time 2008, and the cartoon by the time of the Vancouver Olympic Games 2010.
That'd be awesome...

Hey Boris, nice post indeed.
I like the designs as well as the presentation, the subtle colors and tones in the background telling also about this 'cold - icy' story.
The fight looks like will be a bit uneven between the 'birds' and the 'bulls', still they both share graceful and dynamic lines and seem to be ready to put up a good and entertaining show for the audience. I'm curious to see their personalities and how they act -and- interact.
All the best!

Hello Marcos!
I'm curious, too, to see how they interact :o)
Hopefully, we'll see that soon.
Thanks for the comment, I appreciate that!
P.S. And, yeah, I was thinking that these "birds" would have a sort of their craziness and passion to make it even :)
